Monash Health Economics Workshop 2017
The Role of Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in Establishing Value and Gaining Market Access for New Pharmaceuticals
The tentative theme for the Workshop is “The Role of Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in Establishing Value and Gaining Market Access for New Pharmaceuticals”. Decision makers’ demands for information on the cost effectiveness of health technologies have become more extensive and more sophisticated. As a result, formal submissions of economic data in Malaysia have become a requirement as part of the submission of dossier for listing into the Ministry of Health Medicines Formulary.
To keep up with the constantly changing healthcare landscape, the Monash Health Economics Workshop goes beyond the exposition of general principles and has included detailed discussion of the analytical approaches required to support decision making by using a mixture of presentations, tutored sessions and practical exercises. The workshop will feature Professor Michael Drummond from the Centre for Health Economics, The University of York. Prof Drummond is the most prominent figure in the field of Health Economics and he is globally recognised as the most authoritative person in the area of health technology assessment.
The Forum is co- organised : Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA).
